Very sad news for fans of video game journalism yesterday -

UGO has purchased the 1up network fired most of the staff, closed down EGM and all 1up podcasts.
As a long time EGM subscriber, and huge fan of everything 1up. This news is like loosing a friend. Good luck to all those that lost their jobs. And to UGO, go FUCK yourself!

Yeah Been following this for a couple of days now. Most of the staff laid off were not aware of the situation until the last minute.
It sucks big time as the 1up yours and 1up FM were 2 of my fave podcasts.
on a happier note the 1up FM and retronaughts crew all banded together and released the first episode of rebel FM
